Gloucestershire police raided a small cannabis farm in a house in Cheltenham as part of Operation Emperor. The officers seized drugs and equipment from the farm along with a Christmas tree. Not just an ordinary Christmas tree – but a marijuana plant that the growers decorated as a Christmas tree with tinsel, baubles and a golden angel on top.

At a glance, it could fool anyone but on closer inspection, the officers identified it as a cannabis plant decorated in the form of a Christmas tree. However, officers had enjoyed the creativity of the growers as they even posted the photo of the weed on Twitter: “Not your traditional Xmas tree! Two arrested in Cheltenham on suspicion of cannabis cultivation.” The photo created a buzz on social media.

Gloucestershire police arrested the suspected –a man and a woman—on suspicion of cannabis cultivation. The couple has been bailed until February 8, 2017, pending further enquiries.
