German BMW dealer Mint Classics has recently discovered a 1981 model BMW M1 in an Italian garage after being abandoned for the last three decades.
Since it’s been left untouched for a long period of time, clutter and dust covered both its exterior and interior. The rare supercar is fitted with original parts manufactured in 1980 and has accumulated a total of 4,593 on the odometer.
Mint Classics plans to restore the car to its original condition though the car was covered in a thick layer of dust both its exterior and interior.
“Now 34 years later we are proud to present this beauty as our final addition of this year,” Mint Classics said. The car dealer even shared photos of the red coloured 1981 BMW M1.
Just in! An incredible 1981 BMW M1 barn find with just 7.329km. Stored and forgotten in a southern Italian garage since…
The fact which makes the car so special is that BMW stopped the production of the M1 in about 35 years ago and had manufactured only 453 units between 1978 and 1981.
